The Night of Power also known as Laylat al-Qadr is an extremely important night in the religion of Islam as it commemorates the revelation of the Holy Qur’an. This night is known to occur within the last 10 days of the Holy Month of Ramadan which is observed by all Muslims around the globe.
All the Angels Descends upon the Earth:
Only this blessed night one of the most amazing occurrences which is believed to happen is the descent of all the angels to the earth.
The angels come down to earth in eagerness to spread their Salam’s (greetings) to all the believers who are observing this powerful night. They are the visitors from the heavens known to visit all the believing people’s homes and join in union prayers towards God.
Muslims believe that during this night whenthey make a Dua (prayer) to God the Angels complete that prayer with them by saying “Ameen” (amen). This is very special to Muslims as angels help aid them in their prayers and supplication increasing the blessings hoping that God will accept them.
The most astonishing aspect is the descending of them, it is believed that there are more angels then rocks on the earth when they descend. They also cover the whole horizon queuing all the way from the seventh heaven to earth.
“The Night of Glory is better than a thousand months. That night the angels and the ‘holy’ spirit descend, by the permission of their Lord, for every ‘decreed’ matter. It is all peace until the break of dawn.”
The Arc Angel comes to visit:
The arc angel Jibril (Gabriel) come down along with the other angels in happiness and joy. The arc angel only ever comes down to earth on this night ever since the departure of the beloved Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) from this world.
This is a great honour for the earth and all the Muslims who inhabit it as angel Jibril is understood to be Gods most beloved angel who has had the honour of conveying the message of God to all the prophets who have come.
The very angel who conveyed the Qur’an to the Prophet of Islam, comes down on the very night that it was decreed over 1,400 years ago.
It is believed that if you are worthy enough and if God allows you may receive a visit from the Holy Angel himself.
Destiny?:
On this auspicious night it is believed by many Muslims that their destiny for the year to come is written on the very night. Everything from the individuals coming sustenance, provisions, deeds, sins, lifespan and everything concerning that individual is all concluded and sealed for the coming year on this night.
So, it is seen as very important for Muslims to participate in prayers and recitation of the Holy Qur’an as it can actually lead to a change in the individual’s destiny. God grants this alter to the decree when a believer is sincere in their supplications in this manner.
The name Laylat al-Qadr contains the word Qadr within it which translates to many different words such as ‘fate’, ‘power’, ‘predestination’ but the overall concept within the faith is divine destiny determined only by God.
The Pre-Described Weather:
One of the major signs of the night which holds some much power to Muslims is the described weather that is believed to occur when the night is present.
The weather described will consist of a sort of mild, not to hot nor too cold atmosphere with slight trickling rain. When the morning comes, and the sun rises it will not be lighted with rays and will just almost shine like a metal/brass dish without the intense rays that usually hurts the human eyes.
When this occurs, the Muslim community will know that the night has arrived.

It is believed by Muslims that this night holds incomprehensible rewards. These rewards are regarded to be better than a thousand months’ worth of supplication.
Prayers performed on this night at written at high value and within this one very night the rewards that are given can be seen as equivalent to and entire lifetimes worth of worship.
